In this video we continue the theme of practicing without bearing weight in the hands. The most common way instructors transition people into standing poses is by having their students step into them from down dog. Rather than stepping forward from down dog, in this video you’ll transition into the standing poses by stepping back from the top of your mat.
The emphasis of the practice is strength in the hips and legs experienced through 2 progressive twists.
We also explore transitioning from sitting to standing without using the hands - which correlates highly with quality of life as we age.
I hope you enjoy this unique practice!
